    Default Returning cleric on Povar

    Hey everyone,
    I'm just getting back into the swing of things. Took a break when 75 was the max level cap. Atm I'm 89% into 83. Only have about 1,300 aa so far, but I'm trying!

    How is the game going these days? What spells are particularly useful? How hard is it to find a guild? I'm fairly under-equipped, but hoping to get some progression worked out soon.

    Welcome back.

    Which server are you on? You might find some new friends from here may reach out to you, etc.

    Do you have house of thule or just up to SoD and/or Underfoot?

    In terms of spells, the last couple of years have added a few new or slightly different things to our arsenal.

    The easiest thing to do is give you a link where I outlined what we got for House of Thule along with what new things were done to old spells.

    In addition to that, Underfoot brought us (and these spells were all upgraded in House of Thule)

    • Combination spell - cast a heal on your target and his target is nuked with magic
    • Combination spell - nuke your target with magic and his target is healed
    • Combination spell - cast a magic nuke on your target and the next 2 heals you cast are 'twinhealed' (meaning you get 2 heals cast for each one)
    • Combination spell - cast this spell on your player target (it gives a healing proc onto that target that procs often) and it casts a reverse DS onto that player's target.


    These basically gave a little freedom toward clerics being able to provide a bit more than just healing, especially in the era of SoD when the mercenaries were introduced and for almost all group content a cleric merc worked fine.

    On the link it lists out all the brand new spells we got for this new HoT expansion (including an upgraded divine intervention spell that is sweet) and also lists out a minimum of 18 changes made to our existing spell lines to sweeten them up for us, make them better / easier to use etc.

    I did a "pulse check" partway into Underfoot to see how folks impressions of the UF combination spells changed. It may be some interesting reading and offers some tips on how to use the spells in different ways.
