    Default Vanguard...

Was curious who all was playing the new game, or thinking about it?

I'm on Targonor Server as Auroralee Borealis high elf Cleric. I love the way the Cleric's are played it reminds me a lot of my beginning EQ days.

    /hugs

I don't have the time for another game, plus if I were to try another MMORPG, I'd try something different than an EQ clone..probably EVE-Online.

On MMORPG that I am looking at is LOTRO. They are still in Beta Testing. I am excited to see how this will come out as a finished product.

Once I'm done with EQ, I don't know if I will put much time into another mmorpg or not. My plan is to try some other games first like Marvel alliance and some other games that have been coming out lately that I have not bothered to get yet because most of my spare time goes into EQ.

I'm going to try Vanguard, just to see what it's like. I don't plan on quitting EQ, but I am interested to see what all the hype is about. I'd like to check out the graphics and differences in gameplay.

I have found that the live version is a lot smoother than the Beta version. I remember times where I was unable to move in beta but the graphics are intense and I think that is what draws me in. It is definately a world unto itself.

I said one day it is snowing to my husband and he looked at his screen and said no it isn't. I had to remind him there was a world outside. It is very imersive.

I never played Beta, but I picked it up and it does look amazing. It does require a beefier computer than EQ though, that's for sure.

I'm enjoying the Disciple class... Think Monk healer. The more damage you do to your target, the better you can heal your group! Dual Weild, Martial Weapons, DoT's, HoT's,Feign Death, Rez's, Reverse Damage Sheilds (bonds), and one of the 3 main 'healing' classes... Talk about a win/win!

Playing on Flamehammer btw... Nizrenan JinToh, Half Elf Disciple.

Very true. My computer plays EQ (2 instances) and EQ2 just fine, but I had horrible lag with Vanguard, even after turning all settings to minimum. There are some other things outside of the game settings that I can change, but I haven't gotten around to messing with it yet.

I agree. I miss the days of free servers (quake, unreal, etc...). Now every game wants that monthly fee. A person can only pay so many monthly charges. It certainly restricts/affects your game buying decisions. I haven't bought nearly as many games as I once did.
